Conrad-American/Eaton of Houghton, Iowa warrants for a period of two (2) years from the date of original installation its fan equipment to be free from defects in material and workmanship. Electric motor manufactures warrant their motors through authorized service centers. Conrad-American/Eaton will not be responsible for motor replacement or repair not authorized by a service center.
Conrad-American/Eaton shall be notified in writing within fifteen (15) days after a defect in material and/or workmanship is discovered. Said notice shall be sent to Conrad-American/Eaton, P.O. Box 2000, Houghton, Iowa 52631 or emailed to conradamerican@aol.com.
Equipment if defective in material and/or workmanship, shall be returned to the Company at Houghton, lowa with transportation charges prepaid so that Company officials may conduct any necessary examination or tests. The return of the equipment shall be done contemporaneously with the notification in writing to the Company as set forth in the above paragraph.
Conrad-American/Eaton reserves the right to make changes to its equipment, add improvements or discontinue the manufacture of its equipment without notice or obligation to the purchaser of its equipment.
Conrad-American/Eaton’s obligation under this Warranty is solely limited to repair or replacement at its factory any part or parts of said equipment excluding the motors.
This Warranty is not applicable under the following circumstances:
- When any person other than Conrad-American/Eaton assumes any obligation in connection with the sales of such equipment.
- When any equipment has been repaired or altered outside the Company’s factory in any manner.
- When the equipment has been subject to misuse, negligence or accident.
- When the equipment has been installed, erected, placed or used in any manner contrary to the Company’s printed instructions or directions.
- When equipment has been damaged or destroyed by an act of God.
- When the notification procedure described in paragraph Two and Three above is not complied with.
Under no circumstances shall Conrad-American/Eaton be liable for any loss, damage, cost or repair or consequential damage of any kind in connection with the sale, use or repair of any equipment purchased from it. Grain bin roof structural damage may occur due to the excessive vacuum or internal pressure caused by operating fans or the blockage of air passages and will not be warranted by Conrad-American/Eaton, Adequate ventilation should be provided. Downward flow systems (suction) are not recommended. Roof vents and discharge louvers must be free of ice or obstructions before fans are started. The operation of fans in an empty grain bin may cause the floor and its support system to fail.
In the event any such equipment contains items purchased from other Manufacturers by Conrad-American/Eaton, the Warranty of such items is limited to the term of any Warranty furnished by the sellers of such items to Conrad-American/Eaton.
All information must be complete in order to place the warranty on your purchase into effect.
